Ken is Member for Norton Fitzwarren. Since moving to Norton Fitzwarren, he has become involved with the community and campaigned successfully for a lottery grant to save the Village Club. He was elected to the Council in May 2003 and is Deputy Leader of the Conservative Group. He is currently Mayor of Taunton Deane.

Jean is Member for Manor and Wilton. A retired teacher, Jean is an active member of the community and was first elected to the District Council in 1987. She became Mayor of Taunton Deane in May 2004.

Tony is Member for Bishops Lydeard. Since moving to Cotford St Luke, a village with large areas of new housing but too few facilities, Tony has started a drama group and been involved in running the village fetes, including the Jubilee Fete. He is a retired Army engineer and has worked in the oil industry.

Bob is Member for Wellington, Rockwell Green and West. Before being elected as a District Councillor, Bob served on Wellington Town Council and still does. He is a long term resident of Wellington and is involved in many voluntary organisations. He is particularly keen to make Wellington a safer place for its inhabitants.

Bryan is Member for Killams and Mountfield. He has lived in Taunton since 1950, is married with four children and eight grandchildren. Now retired, Bryan has worked in the chemical industry.

Dave is Member for Ruishton and Creech. He is a builder and runs his own building maintenance and repairs business. He was born in Taunton and has lived in Ham for over 20 years where he actively supports the community and local schools.

Mark is Member for Trull. Proving the rule that local action works, Mark has successfully campaigned to improve the state of the roads within the Trull and Staplehay Ward. He also assisted in a recent consultation on mobile telecommunications masts across the Deane area. Mark was born and brought up in Blagdon Hill and educated locally. He runs his own successful sales and marketing agency.

Gerry is Member for Staplegrove. He was formerly a consultant at Musgrove Park Hospital. He served in the Army before training at Guy’s Hospital Medical School. Gerry's particular interests are the environment and the maintenance of the viability of a balanced community and of maintaining distinct villages in Staplegrove, Kingston and Cheddon.

Terry is Member for Manor & Wilton. He has lived in Taunton for over 20 years, is married with two sons. Terry is a retired British Telecom Manager, who is actively involved in the community as Chairman of the Tangier Scout & Guide Centre, a school Governor and Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator.

Nigel is Member for Bishops Hull. He grew up in Bishops Hull and has been associated with the village off and on during his whole life. He went to school, started work and married in Taunton. Running became a hobby over the year and he has represented Great Britain abroad. He still holds one-hour single age and course records.

A journalist by profession, he has reported news and views from the Blackdown Hills since the 1970s and empathises with the challenges of living and working in a rural environment.

Kelly is member for Creech St Michael and Ruishdon. She has lived in the area almost all her life and has two children. She was elected in a by-election in 2008, replacing Councillor Gwyneth Leighton, who died while in office.

He has lived and worked within his Division for many years. He runs a marketing consultancy helping businesses, charities and other organisation, both national and local.

He was elected in June 2009, replacing Caroline Smeaton who had been the Conservative councillor for that division for 8 years. Tony served in the British Army for 36 years.
